MULTIDISCIPLINARY FLIPPED LEARNING WITH ICT
WHAT IS A FLIPPED CLASSROOM?
An Innovative Method in a Changing World
In a Flipped Learning setting, teachers make lessons available to students to be accessed whenever and wherever it is convenient for the student at home, during study hall, or even on the bus. Teachers can deliver this instruction by recording and narrating screencasts of work they do on their computers, creating videos of themselves teaching. Students can watch the videos or screencasts as many times as they need to, enabling them to be more productive learners in the classroom. Since direct instruction is delivered outside the group learning space, teachers can then use in-class time to actively engage students in the learning process and provide them with individualized support. In this project, firstly teachers will prepare a video nearly 7 minute and then send it to students using online networks. The students will watch the video before the class time. They will share or debate their ideas about the subject with their peers or teachers by online. And then class time is used to do the harder work of assimilating that knowledge through strategies such as problem-solving, collaborative works or discussions. Implementing Flipped Learning with ICT will cause to improve students’ social learning via cooperation with peers and teacher, promote working at their own pace, advance self-directed learning skills and further critical thinking and problem solving competences.
Intellectual Outputs
In a Flipped Learning setting, the project partners have designed and produced two intellectual outputs:
1. "Learn to Teach. Teach to Learn" a curriculum of English language learning with elements of art, music therapy and educational kinesiology.
2. "Portfolio for Class Teachers" with questionnaires, lesson scenarios and video instructions.
